Mudslides hit China’s Sichuan on Tuesday. In the south-west of the region, heavy rain caused massive landslides and 900 people had to be evacuated. Local authorities said at least four people were killed in the mudslides and three more are missing.

Heavy rain hit China’s Sichuan province on Tuesday morning. After heavy rainfall, rivers overflowed their banks, and landslides and mudslides formed in several regions.

400 rescuers in the field

At least four people died as a result of the element, the emergency services of Wenchuan County said on Tuesday afternoon. More than 400 rescuers were involved in the search and rescue operation throughout the day, according to local television.
