Mukesh Ambani has joined an exclusive club of people with a net worth of more than $ 100 billion. The Indian industrial magnate is the eleventh person on this list. There is also the first one in this group, which comes from India, and the second one from outside the US – reported the Bloomberg agency.

Mukesh Amabani has over $ 100 billion

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimated the net worth of Ambani at $ 101bn on Monday, but the next day it fell back below the $ 100bn threshold. The general upward trend in his wealth, on the other hand, suggests a quick return and constant presence among the richest people in the world.

The richest people in the world

The list was dominated by entrepreneurs from the technology industry, and it was headed by Elon Musk, whose net worth was estimated at $ 222 billion. The creator of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, was in second place, while Bernard Arnault, the president of the LVMH concern, is the only representative of Europe placed on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

According to Statista, a German corporation specializing in market data analysis, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, the main shareholder of L’Oréal, whose wealth was estimated at $ 82 billion, is closest to being included in the list. However, due to the relatively slow pace of growth of its value, Amancio Ortega from Spain or Gautam Adani from India may overtake her in the race to join the club.

List of Croesuses

Stock exchange quotations, closely related to the value of companies, have the greatest impact on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Forbes magazine, also listing the richest people in the world, only included Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault and Microsoft founder Bill Gates in its list of the wealthiest people whose value exceeds $ 100 billion.
