Munich. A young Ukrainian woman among those seeking accession to NATO. She screamed “Glory to Ukraine”, then she burst into tears

In Munich, during the Security Conference held in this city in front of the Residenze Munich, where the press office is located, two groups met – one protested against NATO, the other appealed for the admission of Ukraine to the Alliance. Among the latter was a young Ukrainian woman who brought a banner with the slogan “Help for Ukraine”. When she shouted “glory to Ukraine”, she burst into tears.

A woman in her 20s was standing in the front row, right by the barriers separating supporters of the party FOR THIS attacked by Russia Ukraine from opponents of the existence of the Alliance, many of whom held the logo of the DKP – German Communist Party.

Olga Mildyn, a TVN24 reporter present in Munich, drew attention to a girl holding a banner with the inscription “Hilfe für die Ukraine” (German help for Ukraine). She shouted the slogan “Glory to Ukraine!”. At one point, unable to control her emotions, she burst into tears. Other demonstrators standing nearby began to console her.

The 20-year-old, as Olga Mildyn found out, came to German shortly after the start of the Russian invasion.

Security summit talks

Munich Security Conference lasts from Friday to Sunday. It is a prestigious forum for discussion on current problems of international security among the heads of state and government, foreign and defense ministers, parliamentarians and representatives of the media and science.

This year’s 59th edition is the second in a row in which representatives of the Russian Federation do not participate.
