The trial of Salahuddin S. is scheduled to start on Monday in Greece. The man is suspected of murdering 27-year-old Anastazja from Wrocław. Last June, a woman was raped and murdered on the Greek island of Kos. Despite strong evidence, the 33-year-old man pleads not guilty.
27-year-old Anastazja worked in a hotel in Marmari on the island of Kos Greece. In mid-June 2023, she disappeared. The 27-year-old's partner reported to the police that he could not locate her. Not only officers but also ordinary Greeks were looking for the missing woman. After six days, the body of a Polish woman was found near the salty Lake Alikes. Her body was wrapped in a sheet and garbage bags. Police from Greece detained a 32-year-old citizen Bangladesh. He is charged with rape and premeditated murder. He faces life imprisonment.

“The evidence is strong and irrefutable.”
Marcin Jakóbczyk, a reporter, is on site TVN comments. He said that Salahuddin S. will appear in court on Monday. – The indictment will probably be read to him, and he is accused of the most serious crimes, i.e. kidnapping, rape and murder – said the journalist.
– The evidence is quite significant, strong and irrefutable. First of all, these are biological traces that were found on the accused's clothes, but also in his apartment – he reported. These include: Anastazja's hair, as well as the browser history of a Bangladeshi citizen who, after the murder, allegedly searched the Internet for information on how to hide the body and erase traces of the crime, including fingerprints.
– The man planned to escape from the island right after finding the body. And he almost succeeded because he had already bought a ticket, but luckily he was arrested and tomorrow he will face justice here – said Jakóbczyk.
