As the members emphasize, the latest album is special for them for several reasons. “Memento Mori” is not only the first album released after a six-year break, but also the first since the death of co-founder and keyboardist Andy Flecher. – He never heard any (from the songs – ed.), which is really sad for me. There are songs on this record that I know he would say, ‘This is the best thing we’ve done in years.’ (…) I also hear him say: ‘Does every song have to be about death?!’. – confessed in an interview with the portal NMW (New Musical Express) Dave Gahan.
