In 2025, Poznan will spend almost PLN 600 million on roads and public transport. This year, the construction of a foot and bicycle footbridge over the Warta in the city center will be completed, but also viaducts over the railway tracks on the streets of Lutycka and Golęcińska.

The city budget revenues for 2025 were planned in the amount of PLN 6.17 billion. The amount of expenses saved in the budget is PLN 6.93 billion. These are current expenses (PLN 5.7 billion) and property – PLN 1.25 billion.

From the pool of property expenditure, the most money – PLN 578.9 million – Poznań wants to spend on public transport and roads.

From this sum, the Center will consume PLN 67 million. As part of it, a new tram route will be created in Ratajczaka Street, which will shorten access from Wilda and Dębiec to the center. Today, trams run through ul. Królowej Jadwiga, Strzelecka and through pl. Spring of Nations and ul. Podgórna, reaching the vicinity of Plac Wolności.

Car traffic on the section from ul. Saint. Marcin to the intersection with ul. Ogrodowa and Powstańców Wielkopolskich will be calmed down – the area will be covered by the residence zone. On both sides of the street, places where low green and trees will be planted. It will be a string with gardens, benches and parking spaces kept in the atmosphere of green alley. Bicycle paths will also be built.

According to the Vice -President of the Lewica POLSKA 2025 councilors, this investment could be abandoned. – This idea appeared many years ago, then the tracks on Towarowa Street were only emergency tracks and the tram on Ratajczaka street was to relieve these roads. Now, when we have a tram on Towarowa Street, a normally riding line (right -turn was added to Saint Marcin Street – ed.

In his opinion, there are more urgent tram routes to be implemented. – It is the creation of new loops and ends, even from the loop in Franów to Kobylepola. We talked to professionals that it was possible to separate one of the depot's tracks and pull from Folwarczna Tramwajowa Street to the Przemysława estate – he indicates.

The route defends Poznań social worker Włodzimierz Nowak from the “Urbanator. City is people” association, although it indicates that it should only be part of a larger whole. In the second stage, a route should be built from Ratajskiego through the streets of Młyńska, Solna and Nowowiejskiego to the intersection of Pułaskiego and Wielkopolska Streets.

– Already in 1997 it was established that this tram route is the most urgent to perform. She is waiting for the uprising for almost 30 years, and the current power in Poznań does not want to build it – he says.

Meanwhile, this route would allow you to relieve the most crowded tram junction at the theater bridge.

Nowak agrees with Plewiński regarding the need to create new short routes. – We have ready concepts for four tram routes so -called “single -kilometer”. It is under them that we buy as many two -way trams as possible. Of the four planned routes, two are ready documentary – it is a route to Polska Street, which can be done without making a loop and a route to the main – here you can do the first kilometer, which will already include part of the district in tram traffic. The question is why do we not have this budgetary? – he asks.

Reconstruction of the bridge in the center

This year, the reconstruction of the Brave Bridge will also start. This is an investment that will last several years. In the first year, over PLN 36 million was recorded for this purpose.

According to Nowak, this will not be well issued money, because they will consolidate planning errors from a few decades from a few decades. – This is where one thread is needed for two tram tracks and two car belts. Other car belts had to be directed to the north and the second thread of the bridge between Miss Maria and North, so that this traffic from the center is redirected to the Citadel, and not through Małe Garbary Street – says Nowak. In his opinion, this would reduce traffic on Solna Street. – We will now waste money for the reconstruction of the Brave Bridge in exactly the shape we have. This is inconceivable for me – he points out.

New bridges in the center

PLN 64.5 million was enrolled in the construction of Berdychów bridges on the rivers Cybina and Warta, a new walking and bicycle route, which will connect the city center with Ostrów Tumski and the Poznań University of Technology campus in Piotrów. The footbridges are to be commissioned in March.

In connection with the planned uprising of the Poznań railway beltway, interchange nodes near the station (PLN 29 million) will be rebuilt. Money was also secured for ongoing work on the viaducts at ul. Golęcińska and Lutycka (PLN 25.7 and 42.5 million, respectively), for the reconstruction of hardened municipal roads (PLN 82 million), for renewing the infrastructure of public transport (PLN 39 million) and for bicycle paths (PLN 12 million).

Poznan will spend almost PLN 122 million on investments in environmental protection and municipal economy. Over PLN 55 million will consume the maintenance of greenery – this amount includes Expenses for new and modernized parks and greenery, harvesting public space or to the honey garden in the place of the amphitheater on the Citadel.

The construction of a new theater will start

Poznań will spend almost PLN 14 million for new equipment in municipal hospitals and modernization in these facilities. The youngest children will benefit from the renovations of city nurseries – over PLN 6 million has been recorded in the budget.

Investments in sport and tourism (almost PLN 125 million) and culture (PLN 60.2 million) will increase significantly. The city will spend over PLN 40.6 million to the new headquarters of the Musical Theater, and the modernization of the Animation Theater audience is also planned.

Thanks to the money of next year's budget, among others, Modernization of the Warta Stadium (PLN 24 million), construction of a new indoor swimming pool at ul. Taborowa (PLN 31 million), martial arts hall (PLN 12 million) and a pitch with an artificial ice rink (PLN 11 million) near the Szybałka ice rink.

Poznań budget only with a self -amendment

Only councilors of the Civic Platform voted for this year's budget.

Zbigniew Czerwiński, chairman of the Law and Justice Councilors' Club, criticizing the project of next year's budget, emphasized during the session that with the president's self -policy of the President to a long -term financial forecast and budget, the councilors of about 80 pages, councilors could not read only on Wednesday late afternoon, and the vote took place the next day . Czerwiński said that such treatment of councilors was frivolous and was an expression of disrespect. The Lewica Polish 2050 councilors' club voted against the adoption of this budget. The only amendment proposed by them concerned an increase in the earnings of city officials.

– We think they are firmly low in relation to expectations of hard -working officials. Compared to the remuneration of municipal companies, there is a large disproportion that we do not like – says Przemysław Plewiński.

– Net their income is PLN 3,700. I am asking for reflection, whether these are funds that allow you to normally run a household, to develop, rent an apartment, decide to have children. Hence, the only club amendment made by the club was an additional remuneration for the army of 6.6 thousand employees of the City Hall, municipal organizational units and municipal cultural institutions. This is a dignity matter – said Tomasz Lewandowski, head of the club. The club's amendment was lost in voting.

“The city gave the issue of building municipal apartments”

Przemysław Plewiński does not like one thing else. – The city gave the issue of building municipal apartments. I would like the city to participate in their construction very strongly, because only with its municipal flats, the city is able to exert some influence on the housing market – he explains.

This year, PLN 77.5 million was allocated to the entire housing economy. Of this on TBS – PLN 8.5 million.

Włodzimierz Nowak, in turn, has a different complaint. – We now have a huge loan fund from European funds. Cities can take up to half a billion for many years of non -cost loans for sustainable development, for the revitalization of public spaces, for public transport, and bicycle paths. Poznań has no idea at all to use it, and the recruitment continues. The farthest next year everything we would like to win must already be saved in the projects. Why are we not going to use it on a large scale? – he asks.
