Mysłowice. He hit the excavator on the highway. The driver is dead

The A4 motorway in Mysłowice is blocked in both directions after a fatal accident – the police said. Preliminary findings indicate that the driver pulled into the green belt and hit the excavator.

The accident occurred on Saturday morning about 300 meters before the fee collection point in Mysłowice, on the renovated section of the road.

“The head of a passenger Volkswagen (…) in the belt towards Krakow for an undetermined reason he pulled off the road and hit the excavator standing in the green belt” – we read in the communication of the Silesian police.

There were five people in the car, the driver died on the spot. “Passengers in critical and serious condition were transported to hospitals,” informs the police.

The road is blocked, detours were marked through the S1 route towards Krakow and DK79 towards Katowice.
