NAACP asks DOJ to research Texas over warrant for runaway Dem lawmakers

The letter comes because the DOJ is taking a more durable stance in opposition to states altering their election legal guidelines. It issued steering late final month indicating that it’d sue states for returning to pre-pandemic voting guidelines after the coronavirus subsides.

The division already sued Georgia over a controversial election safety legislation it handed earlier this 12 months. Now, Johnson needs the Biden administration to take motion in opposition to Texas for related causes.
