A 32-year-old man who killed his parents and brother during a Sunday family dinner in one of the houses in Namysłów (Opole Voivodeship) fired a series of semi-automatic weapons at them – the autopsy showed. The father and brother had several wounds each, and the mother was wounded twice. The man then barricaded himself with his brother's partner and her two children. In the evening, the woman managed to escape and call for help. When the counter-terrorists entered the house, the man was already dead.

– The autopsy showed that the victims died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. The mother was hit twice. However, the perpetrator took his own life by shooting himself in the head – says prosecutor Stanisław Bar, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Opole.
He adds that “the man fired a series of semi-automatic weapons at his parents and brother.”

Murder during Sunday dinner
A tragedy occurred during a family meeting on Sunday, November 24, in Namysłów. According to the investigators' findings, the 32-year-old man invited his relatives for dinner.
“During a family dinner, attended by five adult family members and two children, Krzysztof K., using a firearm, shot his parents and brother, while depriving his brother's partner and their children of their freedom” — Stanisław Bar reported earlier.
The hostage was present during the murder of both men.
He imprisoned the children and their mother
– This man terrorized his brother's life partner who was present at the scene, tied her up, and earlier ordered her to tie up her minor children who were in the house. The woman was imprisoned in this house for several hours and then managed to escape. She sought help from her neighbors. Thanks to this, the local police obtained information about the incident, said the prosecutor.
The area around the house was secured by police forces. The officers tried to establish contact with the 32-year-old, but he completely ignored the negotiators. There was no contact with Krzysztof K. or other people who were supposed to be in the building.
“Around 5:00 a.m., anti-terrorist police units forcibly entered the house, where the bodies of three victims were discovered. The body of Krzysztof K. was discovered in the garage connected to the house. The children who were in the attic of the building, where they were sleeping in one of the rooms, were released. Currently, intensive evidentiary activities aimed at determining the cause of the event,” added prosecutor Bar.
The children were imprisoned until the police stormed them. In total, they spent about 14 hours in the trap.

Prosecutor Stanisław Bar informed that the 32-year-old shot with a legally possessed weapon. – The perpetrator obtained a permit to carry a firearm for sporting purposes. The condition for a firearms license is that you have no criminal record for an intentional crime. Such a situation occurred here, added the spokesman for the prosecutor's office.
