A 49-year-old woman drove off the road and into a river in Napęków in the Świętokrzyskie province. Her 8-year-old daughter was taken to hospital.
The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Napękowo in the Bieliny commune in Kielce county. – According to initial findings, a 49-year-old woman driving a Renault, for reasons still unexplained, drove off the road and drove into a nearby river – informed cadet Małgorzata Perkowska-Kiepas from the Kielce City Police Headquarters.
Captain Piotr Sorbian from the State Fire Service in Kielce told TVN24 that when firefighters arrived at the scene, the woman and her daughter were outside the car.
– The first actions were taken towards the injured. After a while, an air ambulance and helicopter arrived at the scene – he said.
He added that the woman and her daughter were conscious. He said the 8-year-old was eventually taken to hospital for tests by ambulance, with her mother going as a caregiver.

The 49-year-old woman was sober. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
