In February 2023, a scandal broke out at the National Center for Research and Supervision. How did it go? Were there any consequences? We remind you in the summary of the year.

The first reports showed that almost PLN 55 million was received by a company established 10 days before the deadline for submitting applications, headquartered in a private house. The second entity is a company from Białystok, which was to receive PLN 123 million in subsidies. Michał Szczerba, an MP from the Civic Coalition, said that after analyzing the company’s financial situation, it should be liquidated.

NCBiR was supervised by Jacek Żalek, as deputy minister of funds and regional policy. On February 14, he announced that “in response to media reports (…) a regularity audit has been initiated application of procedures and process in the ‘Fast Track – Digital Innovations’ competition.
