– We have a number of prepared projects – says Mariusz Śpiewok, deputy mayor of Gliwice, on TVN24 BiS. What is missing to implement them? Money from the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO). In the new cycle, local government officials tell us what they would spend EU funds on. “What about KPO?” every day on TVN24 BiS at 17:00.
June 1, 2022 Polish National Reconstruction Plan has been approved by the European Commission. Two weeks later, the KPO was approved by the EU Council. So far, however, not even a euro has reached Poland due to reservations regarding the implementation of the so-called milestones concerning, among others, the rule of law.
It is about a total of over EUR 35 billion in the form of subsidies and preferential loans from the EU fund for economic recovery after the pandemic.
