2. Krzysztof Brejza with an “urgent intervention” to the Institute of National Remembrance
The entry of the Institute of National Remembrance – according to MEP Krzysztof Brejza – contained an entry of a “purely party and political agitation in favor of one of the presidential candidates”. The post appeared less than two hours after Karol Nawrocki was announced as president PIS. Therefore, Brejza turned to the Institute of National Remembrance for “urgent intervention”.
Before 6 p.m., entries with photos from the convention appeared on the official IPN profile. One of them wrote: “Dr. Karol Nawrocki has been telling Poland to the world for years, serving the truth, researching history, fighting for the good name of the Republic of Poland. 3. Death of a policeman in Warsaw, new information
The Warsaw Police Headquarters announced that the policeman who shot his colleague during an intervention on Inżynierska Street in Warsaw had been on duty for over a year. Due to the officer's death, the prosecutor's office initiated an investigation. According to the findings of a tvn24.pl journalist, the policeman who shot was assessed very well by his superiors.
4. Tragic accident in Przyłubie, two people died
A tragic accident involving three cars occurred on Saturday evening in Przyłubie (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship). Two people died on the spot, three were taken to hospital.
“Preliminary findings of police officers working on site show that the driver of a Ford F150, who was pulling a poorly secured trailer with a boat, did not adjust his speed to the prevailing road conditions and caused a collision with a Skoda passenger car,” informs the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.
Then, as the police write, the boat “broke off the trailer” and hit the Seat. As a result of this impact, the 37-year-old driver of the Seat and his 30-year-old passenger died on the spot, according to the police.
5. They tried to bring pyrotechnic materials to the match using an ambulance
The police detained a two-person private ambulance crew who tried to bring pyrotechnic materials to the match. They were going to the stadium at Konwiktorska Street in Warsaw in an ambulance with sirens. They face up to five years in prison. According to Robert Szumiata from the Warsaw Police Headquarters, the driver was a medical student without a license to drive emergency vehicles.
A match between Polonia Warszawa and Ruch Chorzów took place at the stadium. The event was secured by police officers from the riot police department. They detained the two-person crew of a private ambulance service.
