“This should help”
“Firefighters are making steady progress. Relative humidity is expected to increase overnight and light northeasterly winds are expected to persist into the evening,” California firefighters (Cal Fire) said on social media on Thursday.
The fire that started Monday destroyed nine structures and damaged six others, Cal Fire said.
There was a slight chance of rain Thursday afternoon, said Marc Chenard, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service (NWS). The weather brought higher humidity, above 70 percent, and light winds.
“It doesn't look bad,” Chenard said. – At least it's not dry and windy. This should help, he added.
