Amsterdam’s Schiphol, one of Europe’s largest airports, will be closed from 9am to 11am on Wednesday to all arriving flights, the capital’s airport management has announced. The reason is the expected storm.

All over Wednesday the Netherlands Strong gusts of wind up to 100 km/h are expected. According to the capital’s airport, it is still unclear how many flights will be cancelled. For now, the airport management does not plan to cancel flights, but this may change. “Everything will depend on the current weather conditions,” Schiphol said in a statement.

Canceled morning flight from Warsaw

On the airport’s website, it was reported that, among others, morning flight from Warsaw to the capital of the Netherlands by KLM (arrival at 9:45). LOT departures at 7:00 and 10:25 have not been changed yet. According to the Dutch media, KLM has already canceled at least 207 flights.

According to the information provided to the media by the management of Eindhoven and Rotterdam airports, they do not plan to cancel any flights for the time being.
