On Friday evening, the Polish national team beat Lithuania 1: 0 at PGE National in the first elimination match to the 2026 World Cup. – As for Robert, he had a slight injury there, but it's nothing serious. I hope it will be available for the next match. He is struggling with it longer, so glory for him that he came to the team and the game, he is not looking for an excuse. That is why I can praise him for what he does for this representation – explained the coach Michał Prdyk at a press conference.
– I hope that nothing great happened there. There have been small problems for three matches, today it was much better, but it was better to let go preventively, so as not to deepen it. We'll see tomorrow, but I think it should be good – said Lewandowski himself in a post -match conversation with TVP Sport.
On Saturday afternoon, new information on the Captain of the Kadra was provided by the journalist of the “Sports Canal” Adam Sławiński, who reassured that Lewandowski would be able to play in Monday's match with Malta.
– There is no threat that Robert Lewandowski will not play with Malta because of the injury. Everything is ok – wrote Sławiński on the portal X.
