Changes in the PKP timetable: New timetable provides 505 connectionsincluding 471 year-round and 34 seasonal. This is 51 connections more than in the previous timetable. PKP Intercity spokesman Maciej Dutkiewicz explained that the passengers will arrive faster from Warsaw to Szczecin (4 hours 18 minutes), to Białystok (1 hour 30 minutes) and Łódź Fabryczna (1 hour 7 minutes). From Krakow to Zakopane we will go in just over 2 hours. The journey to Zamość will be shortened by over 60 minutes Krakow we will arrive in less than 4 hours (previously it was 5 hours and 9 minutes). From Szczecin we will get to Warsaw and Poznań faster (less than 2 hours). Residents of Wrocław will reach Gdańsk 20 minutes faster by PKP Intercity trains (4 hours and 17 minutes).
Additional international connections: PKP Intercity launched new connections from Przemyśl, Krakow, Katowice and Wrocław to Berlin. Trains will also run from Gdynia to the Czech Republic. IC Baltic Express trains will stop not only in the largest Polish cities (incl GdańskBydgoszcz, Poznań and Wrocław), but also in smaller centers, including in Tczew, Inowrocław, Gniezno, Leszno and Kłodzko. PKP Intercity trains will stop at Bystrzyca Kłodzka and Międzylesie stations for the first time. On the Czech side, on the way to Prague, you will be able to get off and on, among others: in Pardubice. Connections will be made in the morning, afternoon and at night. The train will complete the route from Tricity to Prague in 9 hours.
Invasion of Czech tourists? – Tourists from the Czech Republic are already visiting us and will visit us even more willingly. Opening the connection will give them easier access. Therefore, we can expect that in the next two or three years the increase in Czech tourism in Wrocław and throughout Poland will be significant – he said Polish Radio Alfred Wagner from the Wrocław Tourist Organization. The new railway connection to Poland has been widely promoted in the Czech media and on the Internet for several weeks.
