Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski hopes that the 18th Package of Sanctions against Russia will be agreed during the Polish Presidency in the EU Council, i.e. until the end of June. Kaja Kallas, head of EU diplomacy, announced the finalization of talks on this matter by the end of the week.
During the meeting of foreign ministers of the Union, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hungarian Peter Szijjarto He announced that his country together with Slovakia blocked subsequent sanctions on Russia. The reason is to be proposed by the European Commission A total ban on the import of Russian gas to the EU from 2028.
– Some countries seem exceptionally attached to Russian oil and gas and are based on regulations that would actually increase costs, but would cut off Putin from financing this criminal war – commented Sikorski.
