“Fao's attitude expresses disrespect for Nicaragua and is unacceptable, so we communicate with the withdrawal of Nicaragua from this organization and manage the immediate closure of its representation and offices in our country,” wrote the Nicaraguan Minister of Foreign Affairs Valdrack Jeentsche in response.
On February 27, Nicaragua also withdrew from the Human Rights Council UN (UNHRC), rejecting a report issued by a group of experts, demanding on its basis to put the Nicaraguan government against the International Court of Justice on charges “depriving the decision of the Government of Citizenship at least 452 Nicaraguans because of their views.”
A little earlier in the same month, Nicaragua announced that she was dismissing her representatives from the International Organization for the OIT work, motivating the decision allegedly “a destabilizing impact of her actions on the situation in the country” and “excessive interference”, and from the International Migration Organization (OIM).
