In Nidzica (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), her mother left her three-year-old daughter alone for the night and went to the disco. The girl's crying was heard by a neighbor who informed the services. To get to the apartment, firefighters had to balance the door. The woman, when she returned home, was drunk.
The incident occurred at night from Saturday to Sunday (February 8/9) in one of the apartments in Nidzica. The police press officer in Nidzica, Alicja Pepłowska, reported that a neighbor alerted the police about the 3-year-old's crying and calling for her mother.
– It was at 1.30 at night. The child woke up, scared that he was alone at home. Policemen had no way to enter the apartment, so they asked for help from firefighters who opened the door forcefully – said Pepłowska.
A tearful, frightened 3-year-old who was alone in the apartment was handed over to grandmother's care.
The mother was drunk
– The girl's mother returned home for 1.5 hours. It turned out that she was at a disco at the local club. When the future policemen examined her with a breathalyzer, which showed 2.5 per mil of alcohol – said Pepłowska and added that due to the state of alcohol intoxication with the 33 -year -old, no investigators were performed yet.
Probably a woman will be charged with exposing her daughter in danger, which is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
Earlier, the police had no information that the woman would incorrectly look after her daughter. The child's family situation will be examined.
