There is no credibility of Law and Justice in the European Union. They broke so many rules, they broke so many contracts signed, above all, they broke the milestones regarding the KPO set by the Prime Minister. One cannot take seriously a government that does not keep its most important commitments, assessed Jerzy Buzek, MEP from the Civic Coalition in “Fakty po Faktach”. He also commented on the Kantar survey for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24.
As follows from survey Kantar for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24 53 percent of respondents fear that international policy implemented by Law and Justice may lead Poland to loneliness in the European Union. 41 percent of respondents have the opposite opinion. In turn, 6 percent respondents chose the answer “it’s hard to say”.
Referring to the results of this survey in “Fakty po Faktach”, Jerzy Buzek assessed that respondents who are not afraid that such a policy may lead to the loneliness of our country “do not see anything on public television, and this is half of our country’s citizens” . – They do not see the opposition’s programs on public television, nor do they see the situation in which Poland found itself, this loneliness in the European Union – he added.
– From the situation when we influenced the policy of the European Union, we became such an outsider (…) I have been in the European Parliament for so many years and I know what it looked like 10 or 12 years ago – said Buzek.
Buzek: only the opposition will have the opportunity to quickly untwist the KPO matter
To the host’s comment that in the case of the National Reconstruction Plan, PiS believes that if it wins again elections“the Union will finally give up and open the tap with money again”, the MEP replied: – “if he has time, because there is no credibility of Law and Justice in the European Union”.
– They broke so many rules, they broke so many contracts signed, and above all, they broke the milestones set by the Prime Minister. Milestones are nothing more than the Polish government having agreed to certain solutions which it is not keeping at all. And you know, the government even admits that it does not meet the milestones. So you can’t take seriously a government that doesn’t keep its most important obligations, Buzek said.
He assessed that “only the opposition will be able to quickly undo the KPO case, including the structural, normal money that is to flow to our country.”
He emphasized that “this is money that is crucial for our economy, entrepreneurs, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and above all for local governments.” – Local governments will not be able to finance investments. Today, local governments sign whether they are applying for normal investment projects, and it is not known whether they will have returns, because if money from the EU does not come, local governments risk. And self-government is the basis of Polish development, he said.
