Gas transit suspended: It has been suspended since the new year transit of Russian natural gas through Ukraine. The authorities in Kiev did not extend the transit agreement with Russian Gazprom. Ukrainians explain their decision by not wanting to give Russia opportunities to earn money to wage war. Russia supplied Moldova approximately 2 billion cubic meters gas per year, which is sent by pipeline through Ukraine to Transnistria. Chisinau itself, unlike the separatist region, has no longer been dependent on Russian since last year gas.

What's next? Meanwhile Moldovan government wants to help separatists from Transnistria after suspending gas supplies from Russia. Purchase and delivery via the trans-Balkan corridor is possible. The Transnistrian administration announced that it had disconnected over four hundred schools, kindergartens and other administration buildings from central heating. The local company, among others, she cut off gas supplies for 75 thousand recipients.
