On Saturday evening at At 7:30 p.m. in the center of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, two men noticed the driver of a Nissan passenger car. The driving style indicated that the driver may be under the influence of alcohol. At one point, a Peugeot hit a car on Paderewskiego Street. Witnesses prevented him from driving further. Then they called a police patrol.

“The officer on duty at the Nowy Dwór unit immediately dispatched a patrol of prevention and road traffic policemen to the area. The uniformed officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that at the time of the incident, the 34-year-old driver of the Nissan was in a state of intoxication. The test confirmed the content of 3.6 per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air. The resident of Modlin Wiedza also did not have a driving license, and the vehicle he was driving did not have current technical inspections and was secured in a police parking lot,” the subcommand said in a statement. Driving under the influence is punishable by up to three years in prison and a heavy fine.
