Police officers from Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki detained a 30-year-old Lithuanian citizen. As they found out, the man had changed the license plates of the truck. Probably to appropriate entrusted goods worth PLN 175,000.
A few days ago, police officers from the Nowy Dwór traffic police were called to the premises of an industrial plant.
– Employees reported that a truck driver was trying to illegally take goods out of the company. During the activities carried out on site, the officers found that the Lithuanian citizen had changed and used license plates that were not assigned to the vehicle he was driving. The police found the correct plates, which the 30-year-old hid under a rug in the floor, said Joanna Wielocha from the District Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.
The employees informed the police
– When the employees loaded household chemicals worth over PLN 175,000 onto the truck, the driver was just waiting to leave. Then one of the company’s employees informed the police about everything, the policewoman added. The 30-year-old was arrested and taken to police custody.
– At the request of the prosecutor, the District Court in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki imposed a three-month arrest on the detained person. The man faces a penalty of up to five years in prison, Wielocha said.
