The result of cooperation between the South Praga-based “Kobra” and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) is the arrest of three people. In their garage they found four cars that had been stolen in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Germany. The estimated value of these cars is approximately half a million zlotys. There was also ammunition in the building.

Police officers from “Kobra” used the information they had to carry out operations at the car repair shop. Their findings showed that there were stolen cars there. They started preparing activities. After performing checks and determining the details, in cooperation with police officers from the Department for Combating Organized Criminal Crime of the Central Bureau of Investigation, they appeared at the workshop in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

On site they found three Ukrainian citizens. Initially, the woman and the men pretended to be surprised and claimed that they had no idea what the police might be talking about.

– Everything became clear when the officers opened the garages on the property. There they found two Toyota Rav4s stolen in the Czech Republic and two Mazda CX5s, which were stolen in the Netherlands and Germany. The total estimated value of the cars is approximately half a million zlotys, said the sub-inspector in a statement. Joanna Węgrzyniak from the Warsaw District Police Headquarters VII.

The police also seized nine pieces of ammunition, which were handed over to an expert for examination. According to them, they also found body parts from subsequent stolen Toyotas and counterfeit documents, an ID card and a driving license.

Charges of theft and receiving stolen goods

The officers detained a 40-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man and a 29-year-old man. Police officers from the Department for Combating Car Crime collected extensive evidence. While performing the activities, they cooperated with the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

All detainees heard the charges presented by investigators. Then they were further expanded at the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. A 40-year-old Ukrainian woman will be charged with four car thefts. A 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen was charged with four counts: two counts of car burglary and two counts of receiving stolen goods, and a 29-year-old was charged with four counts of receiving stolen goods and forging an ID card and a driving license.

The prosecutor's office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki submitted a request to the court to apply provisional arrest to the suspects. The court agreed to the request and all three were taken into custody. The proceedings in this case are supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.
