The police noticed a Chevrolet driving without its headlights on. They stopped the car for inspection. To their great surprise, they saw a 14-year-old on the seat and a 12-year-old on the back. According to the officers, the father of teenagers was sitting in the passenger seat, who “blown” 2.5 per mille of alcohol.

Late in the evening, on Wojska Polskiego Street in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, policemen patrolling the area of ​​Osiedle Młodych noticed a Chevrolet with its dipped headlights off. The officers decided to stop the vehicle for inspection.

As they approached the car, they saw a young boy behind the wheel. It turned out that he is 14 years old. The minor, of course, did not have the right to drive a vehicle and should not have got behind the wheel at all – said Assistant Commissioner Joanna Wielocha from the District Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki in a statement.

The boy’s 12-year-old sister was also in the back seat of the car, and their 47-year-old father was sitting in the front passenger seat. – A sobriety test carried out by the officers showed that the father of the children was drunk. He had nearly 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air, the policewoman clarified.

The 47-year-old was arrested at the New York Police Department. After sobering up, he was charged with exposing his children to a direct threat of loss of life or serious bodily harm.

Under the Criminal Code, the man now faces up to five years in prison. The proceedings are conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.
