The deceased turned out to be the wanted doctor Krzysztof Kamiński, a well-known Nysa doctor, long-time head of the surgery department at the Nysa hospital. The information about the man's death was confirmed on social media by his son-in-law.
Doctor Krzysztof Kamiński went missing on Sunday (September 15) in the evening. The doctor's car was found on one of the streets of Nysa with the driver's side door open. The next day, Monday (September 16), the Remiza.pl portal reported that a man's body had been found.
The circumstances of his death are being clarified. It is too early to talk about the details – said the press spokesman of the Provincial Police Commander in Opole, Sub-inspector Dariusz Świątczak.
The investigative team is conducting activities at the place where the deceased was found. – We are securing evidence and traces, the body has been secured for autopsy – the spokesman said. – We had previously received information about the man's disappearance and were conducting activities related to the search – he added.
The information about the doctor's death was confirmed by the deceased's family. The information was shared on social media by his son-in-law, judge Jarosław Dudzicz, who had previously written about his father-in-law's disappearance and asked for help in finding him.
Who was Krzysztof Kamiński?
Krzysztof Kamiński was a graduate of the Medical Faculty of the Medical Academy in Wrocław and a second-degree specialist in general surgery. He cooperated with the International Humanitarian Organization “Doctors Without Borders” and took part in several missions in Sri Lanka.
He was the head of the General Surgery Department at the District Hospital of the Blessed Sister Elizabeth Maria Merkert Health Care Complex in Nysa.
