Territorial Defense Forces are helping to airlift patients from the Nysa hospital to Opole. The airlift of about 60 patients is being coordinated by paramedics. The evacuation began on Sunday afternoon.
“WOT is coordinating the air transport of 60 patients from Nysa to Opole. Each transport will take place under the watchful eye of paramedics, who will ensure safety during the entire journey. Two W-3 helicopters from Opole will take part in the task, ready to take off as soon as the weather conditions improve,” the Remiza.pl portal reported.
On the night from Sunday to Monday, patients requiring constant hospitalization and access to equipment were evacuated. The head of the Nysa district, Daniel Palimąka, reported that the patients were taken to hospitals in Opole, Strzelce Opolskie and Krapkowice.
Helicopters are also involved in the evacuation of patients.

Water flooded the hospital “in five minutes”
The decision to evacuate the Nysa hospital was made on Sunday (September 15) in the afternoon. The first to be taken were pregnant women from the gynecology ward.
A recording has appeared online showing a fast-flowing stream that has burst into the hospital building. The hospital's director, Artur Kamiński, commented on the flooding of the hospital on social media. He described that the flooding of the hospital occurred at around 3:45 p.m. The water flooded the facility “in five minutes.”
