Nysa. The field hospital has already admitted 400 patients. You can count on the support of surgeons and internists, for example.

A temporary field hospital in Nysa was set up on Thursday (September 19) near the sports hall.

As reported on his account X Ministry of National Defensehas already admitted 400 patients.

The military created the facility after flood destroyed the district hospital. Water entered the emergency department and laboratory, completely destroying tomographs, resonance imaging, and the only hyperbaric therapy facility in the province. Patients also had to be evacuated.

On the initiative of the TVN Foundation, a campaign entitled TVN Foundation for the hospital in Nysa. The facility will receive an initial amount of half a million zlotys. The foundation wants to help residents of the Nysa district affected by the flood, who will also need hospital medical care.

The temporary hospital tents have several dozen beds, and patients can count on the support of surgeons and internists, among others.

– The first patients have already been admitted, from a small, one and a half year old child to older people who require help. If necessary, a helicopter and air transport to other hospitals are available – Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference on Thursday.

He also informed that the actions are coordinated with the military hospital in Wrocław. – Minister Tomczyk, supervising the Military Health Service, has launched all the resources related to the Military Medical Institute, with military hospitals throughout Poland – assured the head of the Ministry of National Defense.
