Tickets for the Oasis tour have gone on sale, with demand causing problems for ticketing platforms, with the band warning fans against reselling tickets at inflated prices, the BBC reported.
It added that users trying to access the three websites selling tickets for UK concerts – Ticketmaster, See Tickets and Gigsandtours – were reporting problems even before the sale went live at 9am local time.
Oasis reactivation. Huge interest
Within minutes of tickets going on sale, people queuing for London's concerts at Wembley Stadium in July and August 2025 saw more than a million people in front of them, the BBC reported.
He explained that fans looking to buy tickets were put in what he described as a “line of queues.” Additionally, all three ticket sellers redirected people to a page saying their sites were seeing high demand.
IN Ireland tickets for the August 2025 concerts at Dublin's Croke Park went on sale an hour earlier. Some users also reported problems accessing the Ticketmaster website, while others said there were more than 500,000 other fans ahead of them in the queue trying to get a ticket, the British website described.
He stressed that Ticketmaster had appealed to fans to be patient, posting a message that read: “As expected, Oasis is proving incredibly popular. We are processing orders as quickly as possible, so please save your place in the queue.”
In a separate statement Saturday morning, the company said the queue was “moving forward”, saying millions of people were on its website.
“Fans are advised to hold their place in the queue, ensure they are only using one card, clear their cookies and ensure they are not using any VPN software on their device,” the statement said.
Resale ticket prices
Shortly after a three-hour pre-sale for a limited number of fans began on Friday, tickets for the UK concerts appeared online for more than £6,000 (about PLN 30,500) – around 40 times the face value of a ticket, the BBC reported.
He added that shortly after the Friday presale began, ticket sales began popping up on websites like StubHub and Viagogo, including:
– £6,000 for Oasis' concert at Wembley Stadium in London on 26th July; – £916-£4,519 for the first show of the tour at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 4th July; – over £4,000 for general admission tickets at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 12th August; – over £2,500 for tickets to the band's home show at Heaton Park in Manchester on 12th July.
Ahead of the pre-sale, promoters said standing room tickets would cost around £150, while standard seated tickets range from £73 to around £205. Official premium packages are priced at £506, the British outlet reported.
He said around 1.4 million tickets are expected to be available for 17 open-air concerts across the UK and Ireland in July and August next year.
Oasis warns
Oasis intervened on Friday night while pre-sales were still ongoing, issuing a statement urging people not to resell tickets at higher prices on websites unaffiliated with their promoter, adding that they could only be resold at face value on Ticketmaster and Twickets.
“Tickets sold in violation of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters,” the band said.
Reactivation of the Oasis group
On Tuesday, Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed that Oasis were reforming, with three albums returning to the UK top five on Friday as demand for their concerts grew.
Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 – their original line-up consisted of Liam and Noel Gallagher, guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll.
The band split up after Noel, who had written Oasis' biggest hits, left the band in August 2009. Earlier, at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, there had been a high-profile row between the Gallagher brothers. Family feud he even went to court.
Fans have been calling on the brothers to resumption of activity. And finally, it worked – on Sunday, Liam Gallagher fueled the rumors when he wrote on social media platform X: “I've never liked the term EX.” A day later the date and time of Tuesday's announcement appeared on both brothers' profileswhich fans and media saw as a possible reunion announcement. And so it turned out.
