Tons of ballots are arriving at offices, it's time to prepare the polling stations. Elections to the European Parliament are on Sunday. Tuesday is the deadline to add yourself to the voter roll if you want to vote abroad. We all have to fight for turnout.

Elections could not be held without ballots, which is why they are already being sent to offices all over Poland. – We are prepared for a very large turnout, there will certainly be plenty of cards. And on Saturday, June 8, the cards will be sent to the commission – says Rafał Miszczuk, the mayor of Szczecin's representative for elections.

Preparations are in full swing – the boards and ballot boxes will be delivered to the polling stations any day now. – We are training district electoral commissions on what they should do on Saturday, i.e. before voting starts, how to prepare polling stations, and then how they should work on Sunday – reports Agnieszka Wrońska from the Delegation of the Office of Administration and Civil Affairs of the Mokotów District Office in Warsaw.

Without a doubt, on Sunday, no one will be offended by the fact that there will be a lot of work, because a large turnout is a dream.

Last days for a one-time change of voting location

We meet Mrs. Danuta from Nowy Sącz at the office in Warsaw, where she was changing the voting location. – I encourage everyone to take it into your own hands and vote – appeals Mrs. Danuta.

Anyone who is leaving has a few days left to submit an application for a one-time change of voting place by Thursday, June 6. This can be done electronically via the gov.pl website or at the commune office where we will be on election day.

Mr. Leonard came to make another request. It is a certificate of the right to vote. We do not have to state where we will be on election day. – I am not a supporter of election tourism, but this is a good excuse to visit some of Poland – says Mr. Leonard.

We can also submit such an application until June 6. A certificate of voting rights gives you the opportunity to vote anywhere in the country or abroad. – It is a paper document that we issue once and we issue it in person at any municipal office throughout the country – says Paulina Chełmińska from the City Hall in Gdańsk.

“It's better not to wait until the last minute”

If we want to vote outside Poland, we can also use another option – adding ourselves to the voter list abroad.

– Completing the form on the website “ewybory.msz.gov.pl” takes less than three minutes. To register, you need a passport or ID card, which you will take to the electoral commission of your choice on the day of voting. The deadline for registration is midnight, but as the consuls say, it is better not to wait until the last minute – notes Maciej Woroch, a correspondent of “Fakty” TVN from London.

After completing the formalities, there will be time to look at those who are running in the elections. – Check social media, check the activities of the people we want to vote for, and see if our vote will actually be cast well, and then check these people – says Anna Jurek from the “Girls for Politics” campaign.

Because it is us who decide who will receive the mandate of trust.
