One of the drivers prevented a woman from driving because she had almost two per mille of alcohol in her body. The 44-year-old was driving with her partner, who was also drunk. As she explained to the police, during a party where she was drinking alcohol, she remembered that she did not have a driving license and decided to learn how to drive.

On Saturday, May 11, before 3 p.m., the witness stopped an intoxicated woman driving a passenger car in Oława and called the police. According to the Oława police in a press release, a resident of Oława, while traveling with his family, noticed a Fiat car moving from side to side, almost driving into a roadside ditch. The man stopped and prevented the driver from driving further by taking the keys from the ignition.

Drunk, she wanted to learn to drive

According to the police, a 44-year-old woman in a bathrobe was sitting behind the wheel of a Fiat Stilo, and next to her was the owner of the car – the woman's 51-year-old partner. They were both under the influence of alcohol – they had 2 per mille each. As the woman explained to the officers, during a party where she and her partner drank alcohol, she remembered that she did not have a driving license and decided to learn how to drive a car. The 44-year-old will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She faces a penalty of up to 3 years in prison. Additionally, driving without a license is punishable by a fine ranging from PLN 500 to PLN 5,000.
