In the village of Stary Komunin near Płońsk, the body of an elderly woman was found. The prosecutor's office in Płońsk charged the 38-year-old from the Raciąż commune (Mazowieckie) with murdering his own mother.
The 38-year-old arrested on Saturday was questioned at the prosecutor's office on Monday. – The man gave an explanation, he did not admit guilt – said the deputy district prosecutor in Płońsk Magdalena Sawicka-Chojnacka. She added that this week, depending on the date set by the experts, an autopsy of the 64-year-old will be performed. Then it will be possible to say something more about the cause of her death.
The body was found by relatives
As reported earlier by the Płońsk police, the body of a 64-year-old woman was found on Saturday morning in a corn field in the town of Stary Komunin.
– We received information that in the town of Stary Komunin (Raciąż commune), in a corn field, several hundred meters from buildings, the body of a 64-year-old woman was found. She had head injuries. She was found by family members – informed the press officer of the police in Płońsk, Commissioner Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska.
Charges and arrest request
In the neighboring district, police arrested the 38-year-old son of the deceased. On Monday, after the man was charged, the prosecutor's office filed a motion to the court to temporarily arrest the 38-year-old for three months. The court will probably consider this on Tuesday.
In the interest of the proceedings, the prosecutor's office is not disclosing the findings and details of the proceedings at this stage.
Murder is punishable by imprisonment for a minimum term of 10 years or life imprisonment.
