The man’s body was fished out of the Vistula near the village of Stare Grochale (Nowodworski poviat). On Monday, the corpse was noticed by water police officers – informed the sub-commissioner. Joanna Wielocha, press officer of the Nowy Dwór police.
– Around noon, the police officers of the river police station while patrolling the Vistula in Stare Grochale, on the 560th kilometer of the river, noticed a corpse. They were brought ashore. Police officers from the Investigation Department, forensic technicians and a prosecutor are on site. The man’s body is being examined. By decision of the prosecutor, the body will be directed to the autopsy – said subcommander. Joanna Wielocha.
She said the man’s identity and age were unknown.
– We do not have the personal details of this person, nor can we indicate whether he is a young or old person – she added.
