The court in Gorzów Wielkopolski received an indictment against Krystyna M. The woman – according to the investigators – was to pour a pipe cleaner into the milk bottle. Her husband drank the mixture, but thanks to his daughter’s quick reaction, he only suffered from burns in his esophagus. The 55-year-old is now facing life imprisonment.

Everything happened in March 2021 in Stary Kurów (Lubuskie Province). – You poured caustic soda into the milk – says Łukasz Gospodarek, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

This is otherwise sodium hydroxide, which is a popular pipe cleaner. The woman poured about 200 grams of this agent into the bottle. According to the portal lubuskie24.pl, after mixing the substance, she put the bottle in the fridge, knowing that her husband would want to drink milk. And so it happened. The 60-year-old, however, did not drink much of it. The man quickly felt that something was wrong with the drink.

His daughter helped him

Then – according to lubuskie24.pl – the man’s daughter reacted consciously. – We do not know what effects this event could have had it not for the reaction of a family member who gave the man a vomiting remedy – explains Gospodarek.

The man was hospitalized and severely burned by his esophagus. His wife, in turn, was arrested. – The woman is still in pre-trial detention – says the prosecutor.

Now an indictment has been filed with the court in Gorzów. – The woman admits to administering caustic soda to her milk. However, he denies that it was aimed at the attempted murder of her husband, says Gospodarek.

55-year-old Krystyna M. is threatened with life imprisonment for attempted murder.
