Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he’s “honoured and privileged” to have led Manchester United and hopes he has left the Premier League membership in a “higher state than after I got here”.

Talking after being sacked as manager, he stated the followers had been “wonderful”, including: “We’ll see one another once more.”

In an emotional interview with the membership web site, he additionally stated he had made some “nice buddies”.

Solskjaer was relieved of his duties after the aspect misplaced 4-1 at Watford on Saturday.

Solskjaer stated: “It isn’t for everybody, and I’ve had the chance and I am so honoured and privileged to have been trusted to take the membership ahead and I actually hope that I depart it in a greater state than after I got here.

“I made nice buddies, I’ve reconnected with some nice buddies – new employees coming in, I’ve develop into actually good buddies with.”
