The District Prosecutor's Office in Oleśnica sent an indictment to the court against Ukrainian citizen Władysław H., who caused an accident under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred in September last year in Szczodre (Dolnośląskie). A passenger was killed.
As reported by Karolina Stocka -Mycek, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław, Władysław H., 25 years old, he is accused of the fact that on the night of September 22, 2024 in Szczodre, the Długołęka commune, driving a passenger car, moved at excessive speed and was in a state of intoxication – as a consequence, he lost control of the vehicle and entered a roadside tree.

H. escaped from the scene of the incident without helping the victims – the passengers of the vehicle in a directly threatening life and health.
“The passenger of the vehicle suffered extensive cranio -cerebral injuries resulting in its death, and the vehicle passenger suffered injuries that violate his body's activities for a period above seven days,” says Stocka -Mycek.

He pleaded guilty
The perpetrator of the incident was detained after over three hours and questioned as a suspect. Władysław H. confessed to committing the alleged act and exercised his right to refuse to explain.
A preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest is used to the accused. Now he is punishable by imprisonment from 5 years to 12 years.
