An accident during the training of policemen in Olesno (Opolskie). One of the officers was shot in the hip and was hospitalized. Training participants were included in psychological assistance.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 6, while exercising elements in the field of training of shooting policemen.
– Ammunition should not be found in such classes, but it happened differently. The policewoman was shot in the pelvis. She was given first aid on the spot, after which an ambulance was called, which transported her to the hospital. Her life is not in danger, she is waiting for medical procedure – said Agnieszka Żyłka, spokeswoman for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Opole.
The case is examined by the Office of the Internal Affairs
The circumstances of the accident are examined by police from the Interior Office under the supervision of the prosecutor. Participants of this event were assisted by police psychologists.
– This is a traumatic experience for them, because one of our friends was injured, and one of our colleagues led to injury – added comm. Agnieszka Żyłka.
