Red-handed policemen detained a man who decided to rob a store in Olsztyn. He threatened the workers with a knife. Now he faces 15 years in prison.
According to Sergeant Andrzej Jurkun from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, on Saturday, July 31, a 39-year-old man entered one of the shops in the city. – At one point he took out a knife, and then, threatening to use it, demanded that the cashier give up cash and alcohol with a drink – says the policeman.
The woman gave him PLN 1,200 from the cash register and the requested alcohol. Meanwhile, another employee notified the police, and the store manager escorted the remaining customers and the terrified employee who had been threatened with a knife.
He drank the alcohol on the spot
After a while, policemen arrived at the scene and found the 39-year-old drinking stolen alcohol. The man was arrested. It turned out that the body has 0.5 per mille of alcohol. After sobering up, he heard a charge of robbery using a dangerous tool, to which he confessed. The court agreed to put him in custody. He faces 15 years in prison.
