A man who was her friend was charged with unintentionally causing the death of a 26-year-old woman in Olsztyn. The woman’s body was found in the car. According to the prosecutor’s office, the body was supposedly carried by the suspect from the apartment in a rolled-up roll.

The body of a 26-year-old woman was found on Friday (February 17) in a car in one of the housing estates in Olsztyn (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship). Prosecutor’s office: a friend of the woman was charged

According to Daniel Brodowski, the spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Olsztyn, “the man who was charged with inadvertently causing the death of a 26-year-old was a person known to the deceased.”

Brodowski noted that during the interrogation, the man partially admitted his guilt and gave explanations. “The prosecutor in charge of the case will apply to the court for detention,” the spokesman added.

According to the findings of the investigators, the 26-year-old died most likely in the apartment. An inspection was carried out there.

Unclear cause of death

In turn, on Saturday, an autopsy was carried out, which – as Brodowski emphasizes – “did not allow to clearly determine the cause of death.” – It was also not found that the victim died as a result of any mechanical trauma, no visible injuries were found. Therefore, expert opinions will be needed, e.g. in the field of toxicology. There will be further tests, the results of which will wait a few weeks, maybe even up to several months, depending on the complexity, the prosecutor informed.

The prosecutor’s office takes into account the possibility of using psychoactive substances by the woman. Toxicological tests will show whether they caused her death.

Two people were initially arrested in this case. One of them was released after questioning as a witness.
