From September 2, public transport in the capital will return to basic schedules and routes, the Public Transport Authority announced. Around 200 buses and 100 trams more than during the holidays will be on the streets of the capital.
All tram lines will return to their pre-holiday frequency – depending on the type of line, trams will arrive at stops every 4 minutes during rush hour (every 6 minutes off-peak) or every 8 minutes during rush hour (every 12 minutes off-peak) and 15 minutes on weekends. Metro trains will run on the M1 line every 2 minutes 20 seconds and on the M2 line – every 2 minutes 50 seconds during rush hour.
After the holidays, buses of the following lines will return to the streets 192, 225, 249, 308, 320, 332, 339, 340, 349, 356, 379, 809, 815. “Buses of the line 111, 131, 160, 176 and 180 will maintain the schedules in force for the last two months. Until the end of the academic holidays, buses of the following lines 114 will not have additional trips to UKSW. Line 196 will be restored to its full route, but for now only on weekdays. Buses of the line 401 they will run according to the standard timetable, but until October on a shortened Ursus-Niedźwiadek – Metro Służew route; 193 They will return to basic service frequencies and from October they will run more frequently on weekends.
“The new school year will also bring several new features. In September, after the construction of bus stops, buses of the following lines 198 They will travel on selected routes to the CLXIII General Secondary School at Słowackiego 3 Street,” ZTM informed.
The connection of two lines was introduced during the holidays. 118 and 222 one, ZTM decided to leave permanently, i.e. 118 will run from Mariensztat through the center to Spartańska (currently, due to the reconstruction of Spartańska Street, it goes to Woronicza). Line 159 will not return to Siekierki.
A section of the renovated Jana Kazimierza Street will be opened to traffic, and buses of the following lines will run between Hubalczyków and Sowińskiego. 105.
Bus routes will change in Wawer 161. Buses will travel along the newly built streets of Tawułkowa and Liliowa, where new housing estates are being built.
