One individual has died and quite a lot of others have been injured throughout extreme turbulence on a airplane that left the UK and was heading to Singapore.

The airplane was compelled to divert to Bangkok.

In an announcement, Singapore Airways stated flight SQ321, working from London Heathrow to Singapore on Monday, encountered extreme turbulence en-route.

“We are able to verify that there are accidents and one fatality on board the Boeing 777-300ER. There have been a complete of 211 passengers and 18 crew on board,” they stated.

“Singapore Airways presents its deepest condolences to the household of the deceased.”

The plane diverted to Thailand and landed at 3.45pm native time, the airline stated.

Singapore Airways stated they have been “working with the native authorities in Thailand to offer the mandatory medical help”, and have been sending a workforce to Bangkok to offer extra help.

“Our precedence is to offer all attainable help to all passengers and crew on board the plane”, they added.
