Operational command: Polish and allied planes picked up in connection with attacks in Ukraine

The Operational Command of the Armed Forces reported the pickup of Polish and allied fighters. As reported, this is related to strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

“Attention, Polish and allied aircraft are operating in the airspace, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the south-eastern part of the country,” the Operational Command of the Armed Forces said on Thursday morning.

“Tonight, intense long-range aviation activity of the Russian Federation is being observed, related to missile strikes against objects located on the territory of Ukraine,” the entry on the X platform said.

“All necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been launched, and DO RSZ is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis,” it added.

Attack on Kharkov

On Thursday morning, explosions were heard in Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine. The city is under attack by Russian missiles, mayor Igor Terekhov said on the Telegram channel.

Explosions were also heard in the Zaporizhia Oblast in the south of the country. The region's governor, Ivan Fedorov, reported the explosions. Ukrainian media reported that there were more Russian cruise missiles in the air.
