Opole police officers detained a 33-year-old man who, with a 15-centimeter knife in his hand, accosted passers-by in the city center. Officers located him as he tried to walk away down a side street. However, the man did not follow the uniform’s instructions and tried to run away, so the officers were forced to use incapacitating gas.
A disturbing incident that took place on Thursday (July 20) evening was alerted to the police by a security guard at one of the shopping malls in Opole. It was to him that the frightened teenagers who were accosted by a strange man came to him.

Inconsistent and chaotic explanations
Finally, a 33-year-old resident of the city was arrested. The man turned out to be intoxicated. More than 3 times the legal limit of alcohol was detected in his system. His explanations were chaotic and incoherent.
Depending on the results of the medical consultation, the 33-year-old must reckon with charges and an application for pre-trial detention.
