These are the consequences of the introduction of a flood alarm. It was announced today at 3:00 AM by the mayor of Opole after the water level in the Odra exceeded six meters.
The President’s order also mentions, among other things, the need to maintain ready forces and resources to participate in flood-fighting operations and to maintain constant contact with the services.
The reservoir that is supposed to save Wrocław and Opole
It has been running since Sunday morning dry reservoir Racibórz Dolnywhich can take up to 185 million cubic meters of Odra flood waters. The reservoir is to protect Wrocław, Opole, Kędzierzyn-Koźle and smaller towns from flooding.
