A gas explosion in one of the houses in Orneta (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship). A man was injured who, with first and second degree burn, was hospitalized. The building has also been damaged.
– At 6.17, the duty officer of Lidzbark firefighters received a notification about the explosion of a gas cylinder in Orneta. Eight fire brigades were placed in the place – said Captain Damian Stankiewicz, press officer of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Lidzbark WarmiÅ„ski.
He added that the whole situation was related to the accumulation of gas in the room. – There were two heat sources in the building – a small stove for solid fuel and gas stove. As a result of the initiation, an explosion occurred – explained the fireman.

There was a man around 61 in the building who suffered first and second degree burns. He was hospitalized in Olsztyn.

As a result of the explosion, the roof slope and numerous cracks in the top of the building were also damaged. By building supervision, the building was excluded from use.
