The 45-year-old caused an accident near Garwolin. A 45-year-old passenger was injured. When police checked the driver’s sobriety, the breathalyser was missing a scale.

Spokeswoman of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Garwolin, Deputy Commissioner Małgorzata Pychner, said that the incident took place on Sunday in Oronne. Three people were traveling in the vehicle. At some point, the 45-year-old driver lost control of the car, hit a tree and overturned. “As a result of the incident, a 45-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries,” local police said on Tuesday.

The sobriety test showed that the resident of the Garwolin district had such a large amount of alcohol in his body that the scale in the device turned out to be insufficient – more than 4 per mille. – The exact concentration of alcohol will be known after the analysis of the blood taken – noted Pychner.

The 45-year-old was taken into police custody. When he sobered up, he was charged with driving while intoxicated. He will also be responsible for driving despite the lack of permission. He faces up to two prison terms.
