The cause of death of 15-year-old Marcelina from Orzesze (Silesia), whose body was found in the forest in Łaziska Górne, is still unknown. The expert who conducted the autopsy ruled out that the girl was hit by a train, as was previously determined by the police.

The autopsy of the 15-year-old girl took place on Wednesday (August 21). – Initial expert findings indicate that the injuries the girl had are not typical of a road accident. This means that she was not hit by a train – Alicja Domańska, deputy district prosecutor in Mikołów, told us.
She added that the expert was unable to determine the cause of the teenager's death. – Additional toxicological and histopathological tests have been ordered. Only when the expert has full documentation will he be able to comment on the causes and mechanism of the 15-year-old's death – she added in an interview with tvn24.pl.
Body of 15-year-old found in forest
The girl's body was found on August 19 by volunteer firefighters in the forest in Łaziska Górne. The officers did not provide information at the time whether the 15-year-old had any injuries or what the nature of death was.
The investigation into this case is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Mikołów. As prosecutor Alicja Domańska told us on Tuesday, it was initiated under Article 151 of the Penal Code, which concerns “incitement or assistance to commit suicide”.
Whoever, by persuasion or by providing assistance, induces a human being to make an attempt on his own life, shall be subject to the penalty of deprivation of liberty for a term of between 3 months and 5 years.
– The body was discovered using drones in a forest massif, near the tracks, in Łaziska Górne – the prosecutor said. She added that the girl was recognized by her family.

Backpack by the tracks
The Mikołów police received a report that someone had probably been hit by a train on Sunday (18 August). When the officers arrived at the scene, they did not find an injured person, but there was a backpack lying by the tracks, with the 15-year-old's documents in it. The girl did not return home, there was no contact with her. A search was launched.
On Monday afternoon, police posted a message on social media: “Ladies and gentlemen, the search has ended. The body of a 15-year-old girl has been found.”

Search for 15-year-old
The girl was searched for by dozens of police officers, the fire department and search teams. A drone and tracking dogs were used in the operation.
Junior cadet Izabela Kempka from the Mikołów police informed during the search: – The person who was allegedly hit was not found anywhere, so we really have no confirmed information whether she was actually hit or not. We only know from the cameras on the platform that it was the girl who left her backpack by the tracks. And thanks to that, we managed to determine that it was Marcelina.
The police also published a message asking for help in locating the teenager.
