A plastics processing plant, producing fuels, is burning in the town of Osła (Lower Silesia). 10,000 tons of plastics and 1,200 tons of ready-made fuels are stored on the premises of the company. 120 firefighters and 33 fire trucks are participating in the firefighting operation – said the spokesman of the Polish Fire Service, Karol Kierzkowski.
The plastics processing plant in Osła covers an area of approximately 150 by 150 meters and is surrounded by a wall. – There are two halls and a plastic storage yard on the premises of the company. In total, there are 10,000 tons of plastics and 1,200 tons of finished fuel – said Karol Kierzkowski.
About 75 percent of the plant’s area is affected by fire. Firefighters fight the fire from 6 p.m. There are 120 firefighters and 33 fire trucks on site.
There is no information about the injured persons. There are also no residential buildings nearby.
