Police officers from Otwock found a PPS submachine gun and excise-free cigarettes in the apartment of a 35-year-old Belarusian. The man was detained, banned from leaving the country and placed under police supervision. He faces up to eight years in prison.
The man was detained in Otwock by local policemen and officers of the Central Police Investigation Bureau from Białystok.
Weapons, excise-free cigarettes and charges
– During a search of the man's premises, the police found a firearm in the form of a 7.62 PPS submachine gun and tobacco products without the required excise stamps – said junior aspirant Patryk Domarecki from the Otwock police.
The detained man was charged with illegal possession of firearms and tobacco products without the required excise stamps. He faces up to eight years in prison.
The court placed the 35-year-old under police supervision and banned him from leaving the country, along with confiscating his passport.
